The ZMF Tap N Set™ chess clock offers a modern approach to time management in chess, utilizing an accompanying app available for iOS®. This application can be downloaded at no cost from the App Store and facilitates easy programming of the clock.

Users are required to input valid time settings to ensure compatibility with the clock. For example, a configuration of 10 minutes for one player alongside zero minutes for another will not be accepted by the device.

When successfully programming the ZMF Tap N Set™ clock with a smartphone, users will experience a vibration feedback on the phone, while the clock’s LED indicators will briefly blink, confirming the transfer was successful. It is important to note that the positioning of the NFC antenna varies across different phone models. Users may need to experiment by tapping different areas of the phone—bottom, middle, or top—against the clock to find the optimal connection point.
